Out of the box my AIO922 printer prints faint horizontal lines. The lines only appear in the print and not on the blank paper. Even the test page has these lines. Do I need to upgrade to a better printer to get rid of these lines?
No, it sounds to me that your ink cartridges are defective. Call dell Printer support and inform them of this. They will likely send you replacement cartridges and make you send your defective one back.
There are other posts on the forum with the same problem. They tried new ink with no success. Even if it is the ink, do I want a printer that has issues with its ink cartridges? If other people are having trouble, the problem is not isolated. weather it is an ink or printer problem its still a problem.
I would not want to send back every other new ink cartirdge becase it was bad. I am going to take advantage of the gererous return policy and get a better printer.
The lines would not go away no matter what I tried. The lines are perfect and evenly spaced in the colored parts. It is not streaking or somthing like that.
Dell's customer support has been very responsive and positve. They are allowing me to return the printer.
