2300MP inconsistent connection to certain laptops
We have a new Dell 2300MP mounted on the ceiling with a 50' VGA cord going to a laptop. Several laptops work with no problem, Apple Power Book, Toshiba Portegé yet others like IBM thinkpads do not. When connected to an IBM thinkpad the projector sits there looking for a signal. We have a slightly older dell projector which works fine with all the laptops, including the IBM.
Refresh rate is set to 60Hz, resolution is 1024x768 and it's set to both LCD and external projector in the IBM screen controls. Are there any other tips for getting this computer and laptop to sync? Otherwise I'll simply have to return it.

- My 2300MP has been running fine connected to a Dell Computer but will not function when connected to an HP computer it just keeps searching. My unit is ceiling mounted and I'm only using an 8ft cable to connect to the laptops. I changed cables, again to date I've only used a Dell but recently (3) different times unable to use an HP computer. Any thoughts fixes etc?

Did you toggle the display option (CRT/LCD) using your HP keyboard?
