I'm using the DUP to update the BMC within Windows to 1.33 or 1.92 from 1.15 to optimize Fan 4 speeds. The updater crashes every time after a scrtch partition is mounted with the error "bmcfwuw.exe has stopped working." I have another R410 that I did this update on and it worked. Is there a way to force this update or to fix the crash?
The download page for the R410 has 1.15 listed as the latest BMC version. You should check to make sure what you are trying to install is for an R410. If you have an iDRAC installed then it takes the place of the BMC. You should install the iDRAC firmware instead of the BMC firmware.
This one has the optimization for Fan 4 specifically for the R410. The iDRAC updates don't fix the Fan 4 issue. I had to remove the iDRAC and install the update to the BMC on my other R410 for the fix to work.
