adding second drive
this is probably pretty basic, but can anyone direct me to the steps to simply add a secong hard drive to my 8400 media center PC? i plan to use one for photo/video, the other for general docs.
Do i need an operating sytem on both, or just the one that boots up? i have xp on both now.

Dell's instructions for installing a second SATA hard drive, connect the data cable to SATA 1 and then enter the BIOS and check that the drive is set to "Auto" [Enabled] There is no need to install XP, the hard drive must be partitioned and formatted.

After the drive has been installed, it must be patitioned and formated. These are generic instructions for installing an additional hard drive using Windows XP Disk Management, they are by Seagate, but apply to all brands.
