Ordering Operating System CD

Hi! I have a Dimension Desktop and I forgot my password. I need to bypass the password. The dell tech people say I need a new operating system cd. How do I order one?

    when did you buy your system, if you dont have much on your system you could do a pc restore. you may request for an OS CD for free from the Dell support in case the system was purchased after 2005. they would probably ask you to do a chkdsk on the drive to remove the password.

    There are two passwords on most systems, a BIOS (aka, hard drive) password and the operating systm (aka, log-in) password. If you lost your OS password, there are plenty of strategies for fixing this. Search for them on the internet. Here is one of many.
