Ad-Aware - Quarantine

I use Ad-Aware to scan and remove adware.  Today, for the second time, I noticed that it was not quarantining objects after removing them.  Upon checking the setting, I noticed that the setting to "automatically quarantine objects upon removal" was no longer set.  The only thing differently I have done lately was to delete all the old quarantined objects.

Has anyone else had this problem?

    No, not me.

On the General Settings page, after you make what ever changes you want, click on proceed and then close off the program, then reopen it again and see if your settings remain as you had set them.

It's my opinion that utilities like this be run in Safe Mode with System Restore disabled and then when completed reset to enabled, and then create a new restore point.

    1) unless it's a really "tough" infection, ad-aware should be able to remove most of the things it finds while in Normal mode.

    2) be advised that if you disable system restore, you will remove your entire history of restore points... there is no reason to do this "routinely:"

"System Restore disabled and then when completed reset to enabled..."
Why would you want to do that? Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
If there is a false positive or you make a mistake somewhere along the way, you have no Restore Points!
