    Hello PAQUADS,

    Welcome to the Dell Community Forum.

    I am sorry for the time taken to reply. I will be assisting you further to resolve this issue.

    • If you have published this issue on any other forum, please provide me the link in your next reply.
    • If you have tried any tools or fixes for this issue, let me know before you perform the steps I recommend you to, as it may conflict with the tools I have provided below.
    • Please back up all data you have stored on your system to an external hard drive or a flash drive or a CD/DVD to ensure you do not compromise on any important data you have worked upon.
    • The following steps are intended to used only for this issue, it should not be used on any other issue as it may conflict and corrupt the operating system.
    • If you have disabled System Restore on your system, please enable it now.
    • If you are using any P2P (file sharing) programs, please remove them before we clean your computer.  The nature of such software and the high incidence of malware in files downloaded with them are counterproductive to restoring your PC to a healthy state. There is a partial list HERE.
    • If your issue involves Windows error codes the chances of resolution may be slim because some of these infections corrupt .exe files. The presence of windows error codes may also indicate hardware problems and could limit the success of infection removal.
    • Please ensure you are the administrator of this system if not, you have the admin rights to perform the troubleshooting steps provided by me.
    • Once we start, please print a copy of the instructions in a notepad to ensure the sequence of troubleshooting steps. Request you not to run any other tools or fixes or cleanups on your own during the process.
    • Ensure all other applications to be closed during the process as it may conflict with the cleaning process and may not be 100% successful.

    As per the description you have mentioned that you are getting fltmgr.sys error; does this occur at your boot up or in windows environment?

    If you are getting a blue screen of death with this error please let me know with the STOP error code so that we can resolve this matter in a different path.

    If you are getting this error in windows environment, you can follow the steps mentioned in this link;
