First - create a folder, say c:\hjt for hijackthis and move the hijackthis.exe file to it, The temp folder is not the best place run this program, it creates backups of anything we fix and if in a temp folder you will lose the backups.

This one is not known by me, but you are running stuff for a noprton network so it might be connected to that, it is an activeX control and so if we leave it this thim and some of the other stuff does not clear we can delete it next time.

You need to copy the file hijackthis.exe to that folder and run it from there, not where you ran it from last time. Use Windows explorer to copy it.

Then run hijackthis, tick the scan box, then tick all those items that I listed, then close all other windows except hijackthis, then tick the 'fix ticked' button to get hijackthis to delete those items that you ticked.

Then reboot run hijackthis again, hit scan, and copy and paste that new log to a reply here to this thread.

I've been through this enough to maybe save ChrisRLG a minute.

When you run the hijack program and select scan, you will see a list with a box to the right of each item.  Click on the box next to items that he mentions in his previous post and then at the lower right click on the fix checked items button.
