Generally putting the clone targets in the same pool as the sorce devices isn't a bad thing. In many cases it can be better for performance than isolating if when isolating there are too few disks. to handle the workload.
probably good idea from availability and performance perspective, we should be doing it but we are not, our pool is so big that we decided to take our chances.
