D830 + SP1 - When?
I have a D830 shipped in December.
I was waiting it out for the Sigmatel driver (which I'm presuming is still the hold on me getting SP1), but I'm curious if I've missed something. When can I get SP1?
Is this what I need? - Post. Please point me where I find if I have SIGMATEL STAC 92XX C-Major HD Audio on my unit. Looking in my Device manager, I find I have listed "Sigmatel High Definition Audio CODEC" dated as 06/03/2007. There's no joy with updating that. Am I looking in the right place?
I've read a post tonight (now can't find it!) that solved this issue by updating the fingerprint reader driver, but I don't have it on my unit. If this is the case, why wasn't the Sigmatel the issue there?
Am I really waiting for something that won't happen? Or can I expect something soon?

I've been looking at that driver update for weeks wondering if it's was it, but since there seemed to be so many problems for others I thought I was in the same boat! Silly me.
SP1 came up after a restart and 2 tries at searching for updates.
Done and dusted.

Once you update to that audio driver and re-boot,then SP1 will be offered under windows update.
