Driver repair
After I cleaning my PC of a virus. I keep getting blue screens. The failure message is : a faulty driver has caused a systen error. I cannot get information on which driver is causing the problem. I would appreciate any help you could give me. My computer knowledge is of a novice level. So i dare say there is a simple sollution to my problem ( I sincerely hope).
Thanks for the info. I have now established that my ethernet device is the problem. I would download a newer driver for it, however under properties, there is no driver info, as in what ethernet device is installed. Do you happen to know how i could get this info, or should i open up my PC to see what the ethernet device is? I bought this PC fully installed from e-bay, and didn't receive any software. Therefore i don't have a driver on cd.

All of your drivers can be downloaded from the Dell site. Here's how to find the the support home page for your system. Click Desktops above, then enter your service tag number. The drop-down list will allow you to access downloads, your manual and other information. Bookmark this page so you can access it any time.
You also bring up an interesting point. In theory, any Ebay seller is required to provide discs with the systems they sell. If this is a recent model and the seller transferred ownership and warranty to you, you can and should request discs from Dell. But only if the warranty is still active and was transferred.

Go to Device Manager (Right click My Computer, Properties, Hardware tab, Device manager) and see if you find any yellow exclamation points next to any devices.
Another place to look for clues is Event Viewer, which is under Administrative Tools in Control Panel.
