Internet explorer blocking

Hi all,

I am a novice at all this.  I can't get to use any of the help buttons in Windows as an error message appears saying that Internet Explorer can't download & then when I press OK the help window is always blank.

Internet & Outlook working fine.

Have made several attempts to access support at both the Dell sites & Microsoft all unsuccessful & don't know what to do next.

Any advice appreciated.

Are you talking about using  Start/Help and Support?

    This is 2 different problems.

When you use help in a program you installed on Vista, and the program was not made especially for Vista, this is the problem, Vista uses a different type of help in programs and is not compatible with older programs written for XP.

Help and Support in the Start menu is another issue entirely.
