    Julieshane,

Download the M90 users manual in PDF format.  Prints out just like the original.

You can also click on the Contact Us link at the top of this page and contact Dell via telephone, online chat or e-mail.

    Hi Tony

    Thanks for the reply

I have the user manuals in html, chm, format but I need the user manuals in a cab file format with the package description in xml format with the digital id so that I can return the user manuals back into windows help and support center/  These files need to be placed in C:\WINDOWS\pchealth\helpctr\batch folder which then gets processed by windows from which they will disappear and end up in C:\WINDOWS\pchealth\helpctr\PackageStore.  Then when you click start help and support these files will show up in user and system guides like when you first bought your computer

I have tried all that you suggested with no luck. If anyone still has these files in C:\WINDOWS\pchealth\helpctr\PackageStore for the Precision M90 can they please send them to me

    Julieshane,

OK.  I understand now.  Take a look at BayWolf's site:  http://www.bay-wolf.com/downloads.htm

The Dell PC Health Program restores the cabs for the Dell PC Health Program.  Sad to say, it
does NOT restore any Dell documentation that came with the system. If the documentation is not available on Dell's site, you'll have to have someone with an M90 send it to you.

    Hi Tony

Already been to website you suggested and scanned dell website before I made my fisrt post.  I have done a lot of searching before I made my post regarding this problem.  Dell technicians only have what's available for download from their website.  These files need to come from when dell first installed software at factory or, like you said, from some kind person who still has these files and is willing to send them to me.  These files are not even on the cd dell sent .

This the first laptop I have had from this company and it's the first laptop which has not had all it's software provided on backup cd's.  It is less than a year old and it has already been repaired twice.  Not a good advertisement for dell!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dell should be providing cd's containing the full software which was originally installed on the laptop at the factory, not giving out-of-date cd's with half the software missing.  Dell should be supporting it's own software fully without extra charges.  This is something I am going to be bringing up with trading standards.

    Thanks for all your advice.

    Julieshane,

I knew I had seen a post regarding extracting the users guide cab file from the Dell Resource CD.  See Jrosenfeld's post on how you do it in this link:  http://www.dellcommunity.com/supportforums/board/message?board.id=sw_other&message.id=39887&query.id=49287

If you don't have the Dell CDs, look at the FAQs at the top of this board on how to request them.

    Julieshane,

You're welcome.  Glad you're getting Dell Resource CD.  Should help you solve your problem.  If not, post back.  Work on nearly every brand of computer.  Should get an M90 in sooner or later.  Will try to remember your need.

    Julieshane,

Best advice I can give is to go here: http://www.notebookreview.com/default.asp?newsID=3047

The reviewer of the Dell Precision M90 (notebook_ftw) is a member of the Notebook Review forum.   You could register (it's free) and perhaps contact the member who reviewed the M90 as to the file(s) you need.  Most forums have means for members to contact other members directly.

Hope this helps you get the files you need.
