Slow startup??

Does any one else have a problem with Vista taking a good 5 mins to startup?

It takes about 45 seconds on mine. A little longer then what XP took , but not painful enough to cry to mom about it :D

This vista thing has got me frightened. I don't know weather to install it or not.

Google for Vista startup and pre-caching and you will see what is going on.

5 minutes is a bit long.  Have you made sure you bios USB settings are set to NO BOOT?

Do you have an external hard drive attached?  If so, unplug it and see if it starts faster.
