I noted alot of programs which start up when my computer starts. Is there any way to temporarily term them off so they wont start in order to test to see if I need them or not. I know I can delete them, but I am not sure I want to to that without knowing what they really do.
Yes, there is a way to temporarily disable start up programs in Windows Vista. Try following the directions in this
link. The directions in that link "makes it easy to temporarily toggle certain noncrucial start-up programs off and on, depending on your needs." Good luck!
Look up CCleaner, download it and install it. There is an option where you can remove the registry key that runs programs at startup. This won't effect the operation of the program it just tells windows not to run it at startup. Just make sure not to delete anything important.
