UNSOLVED
TWO FILES
Noticed while "exploring" I have two (2) shell 32.dll files
1) Shell 32.dll File version 6.0.2900.2869
2) Shell 32(3).dll File Version 6.0.2900.2763
I did download from "Doug's site" a Ico file fix... Would this have created another Shell 32.dll file.??..
Is it OK to delete one of these files???? Should I delete the oldest version????...Not sure which
would have been loaded on "Doug's site..If I in fact did duplicate it when I downloaded the ICO file Fix....It appears the icons are the same for both files... Although I seem to be missing the one icon for wordpad (paper with green feather pen) from both files. These little things are annoying... Would appreciate any help..

The first of the shell32.dll files listed (6.0.2900.2869) is the proper one for Windows XP SP2. However, unless you are experiencing problems it doesn't hurt to leave the other one in place. (Optionally, you could move it to another folder and if nothing "misses" it for a while delete it from there.)
You will find the wordpad icon if you browse to C:\Program Files\Windows NT\Accessories\wordpad.exe.
