I am running windows vista home premium  on my Dell inspiron 1520.  I am running the pentium centrino duo core os. I have a 2 gig mem and 80 gig hard drive. I really like vista but have a problem with the windows update-windows defender update and windows securiety update.  None of them will work. I have been working with microsoft for 2 and 1/2 months via e-mail. Still have no resolution .  Dell is sending me a windws vista installation disc so we can try a "in place repair"  Is any one else having this problem or does any one have a solution to this problem?
