Windows Vista Ultimate

When i bought my copy of Window Vista Ultimate upgrade it came with both 32 bit and 64 bit. I installed the 32 bit version. Now i want to switch over to the 64 bit version. My question is can i us the 64 bit disk that came with my original purchase, or do i have to buy a 64 bit version?  I did activate the 32 bit version.

I have a Dell 600 XPS with the Pentium D Smithfield. I understand that i can run 64 bit with this processor.

Thanks

As long as you have the CD-KEY you can choose between either or, with  any Vista version

Even if I used the key to activate the 32 bit version?

    Thanks for the response.

Yes you can interchange between the 32bit and the 64bit(you just have to re-install the O/S every time)

It will most likely say "This key must be activated" and a activation window will apear. Try by internet, if it fails then you have to call M$ with their "marvolous" voice activation method, which takes about 4-5minutes

You probably won't need to phone Microsoft though Chuck?

That's usually only necessary if you've reinstalled the OS more than the number of times allowed - or had to install a new motherboard, due to the old one developing a fault of some sort.
