The RAM might or might not work. There's no way to guarantee it will work.
The M2 drive will work, but the R12 only has 1 M2 drive slot.
If you ordered it with an M2 drive from the factory, you would have to remove that drive and install this one, and reinstall windows and everything else.
By default the factory drives are partitioned with a recovery environment, a hardware testing environment etc....
Typically 4 partitions. If you do not clone the drive first, you will not have those available anymore if you install the regular windows from the Microsoft installation media.
Pending on how you ordered it, you could loose software you paid extra for.
My suggestion would be to wait until you have the computer, use it for a while and see if you really need to upgrade those components or not. It's very possible you will be satisfied with the performance and find no need to spend all this extra money on upgrading components.
But before you do that I would dig up the thread where someone tested this.
If I am not mistaken the R12 manual does not specifically list the second full mechanical length PCIe slot as PCIe 4.0, but I think they tried it and it did work at PCIe 4.0 speeds.
My recommendation is to leave the SSD in the M2 slot, grab yourself a PCIe to M2 adaptor and use the 2nd full size PCIe slot on the motherboard. Grab a Samsung 980 Pro as they are a cracking Nvme drive!
There was someone saying the bottom x8 PCiE slot on the R10 v2 ran at 4.0. I'm still dubious of that.., and it also conflicts with the service manual for the R10 and what other users (of the R10 v1 anyway) reported.
The service manual lists the bottom x8 slot on the aurora R12 as 4.0, and someone else separately confirmed that in a different thread.
I can confirm that the bottom PCIe slot is PCIe 4.0. CPU-Z also indicates so
The big issue is the lack of PCIe Gen 4 to NVME riser cards. Asus, Gigabyte and a few others make them, but they are extremely hard to come by.
Just remember that the Dell R11/R12 motherboard PCIe slots do not support "Bifurcation", so you will need a riser with a RAID controller onboard if you were wanting to use 2 NVME drives in RAID off the PCIe slot
Another point to note too, you cannot RAID the M.2 slot SSD with the PCIe slot SSD..

Any other RAM might or might not work. These systems are very picky when it comes to aftermarket memory module support.
Also, the most recent bios update for the R12 seems to have broken compatibility with some aftermarket RAM that worked for other users.
