Aurora R13, blinking 2 amber, 1 white, CPU configuration or CPU failure

Hi everyone,

As you see in the subject, I am getting these light on my desktop. The desktop is running fine, don't see any problems.

I ran the full diagnostic test from pressing F12 during bootup, everything passes as well.

Anyone knows how to fix this?

    Hi Vanadiel,

Shortly after i made this post, i spoke with one of the Resolution Experts from Dell. He recommended me to perform a Power Drain. And the blinking lights are gone!

Thank you for the suggestion anyway,

    Cheers

Try loading the BIOS defaults and disable any AWCC overclocking.

I am glad he did because mine just did the exact same thing, and a power drain did the trick. Apparently Windows is not very good at reporting BIOS errors with flashes so i will take it as just a glitch.

I am glad the "power drain" works. I have to hold down the power button since the PC doesn't work when I get the orange blinking light. Then unplug the PC and wait. It is important to note that this is a reoccurring problem and although it might look like an error code, you are the user will have to do your "power drain" every time this happens. My Alienware has failed three times in the in the last six months.
