Agreed with all above. Dell, at a bare minimum please fix this issue, the works already been done just copy it. But please put some effort in and fix other bugs that have been reported to you. No fe update since april, product abandoned since mere months after launch, is absolutely criminal. 

@Whreck11​ What is it that he's not able to track? the hdr1000 issue? to be honest he would struggle to identify the issue without another monitor side by side showing what it should look like

At this point I feel like we need to contact Dell directly to make a case about the state of their product support.

michael@dell.com For anyone who feels so inclined. Doubt it’ll actually get read but still… 

I’m quite active on a number of forums and as as of today it would be safe to say I’ve guided at least 50 oled purchases away from Alienware, let alone anyone who had read the posts/responses and made a decision without saying anything so the number could be a lot higher. I’ve also seen a number of others advising against it without owning one themselves solely because of the discourse surrounding what’s happened.  All because Alienware shamefully abandoned the monitor after a couple months. 

The reputation is getting out there, and it’s picking up speed. a real own-goal by dell. 

@Lex89​ it’s not just this one issue though, this is probably just the most easily fixed because someone else has done the work for them. A number of issues have been highlighted with the monitor on here and the primary thing is their abandonment of the monitor so soon after launch. They shoved it out the door and then failed to provide even the most basic of ongoing support for any of the reported issues. 

dell being hauled over the coals for this is entirely warranted and self inflicted. 

Perhaps TFTCentral could get a public statement from them at least why they abandoned the product so soon after launch. Just why don’t they support their products even through the short term.

although even if they can’t fix the brightness issue, there is a number of other issues with the monitor hopefully they can put some fixes out in a firmware update, it’s been almost a year since the last one.
