13 R2, not turning on, #5
My Alienware 13 R2 will no longer turn on. My laptop would only work if it was plugged in and it showed a battery fault, so I ordered a replacement battery and replace the battery within the laptop. I have double check to make sure that all the connections are proper and that everything is as the way it should be, yet now my laptop does not work at all. When I plug it in I can then hit the power button it will boot up for two or three seconds, the keyboard will light up in the fans will Spin, and then it will shut down and the power button will turn white. Once this happens I can no longer do anything with the laptop unless I unplug it at which point the white light turns off and then plug it back in and then repeat that process. I have projects due this coming Friday and I would really appreciate a response as soon as possible. Thank you in advance for any advice you guys can give.

Hi @Davis Young welcome to this user to user forum. This is not Dell Support.
Thank you for providing a good description of the problem. Your system seems healthy except that the battery appears to be dead, and may be the source of all your problems.
We are now going to use the laptop as if it were a desktop, this acceptable and will not harm the system. Please remove the rear panel and disconnect the battery (do not remove).
(1) Then plug in the ac adapter at the mains, does the power cord LED work?
(2) Then plug power cord into laptop, does the LED work?
(3) Then press the power button, does its LED work?
(4) Does the boot process give you a splash screen, so you can log into your windows account?
(5) Are there any diagnostic beeps or lights?
Hopefully, both the ac adaptor and the 13 R2 are working as normal.
If everything checks out, the battery is the problem. Replacement batteries should always certified as genuine Dell Alienware 13 R2 OEM original part [Here] by the vendor. Getting a replacement battery is buyer beware of fakes, so get it locally or thoroughly check the online vendors reputation before purchase. When it arrives (and works) use the Windows 10 Battery Report to check it out.
