17 R4, memory slot problem
I recently had a problem with my brand new ram a couple days ago where it suddenly stopped working, the ram matched all the requirements of the motherboard and the two sticks were the same thing. I found out that this happened because of the red and blue flashing light thing (2 red 4 blue). After close inspection I figured out that both ram sticks work in one slot, but not the other, they are indeed compatible because they worked together for about 3-4 months. But I don't know what is wrong with the other one. The titanium tong on the left hand side on the top ram slot next to the fan is bent because my brother accidentally bent it, but that shouldn't be a problem. I don't know why both of the ram sticks will work in the slot next to the battery plug but not the one next to the fan. Can you please help me?

You should also run a ePSA test to verify if the memory works.
Update your BIOS to its latest version and reset the BIOS to its default settings.

If both ram sticks work on the other slots per say.
Then the conclusion is the ram ports are bad.
If its a hardware issues which most likely is since it has been consistent - software reset will not solve the problem.
There could be a slight chance that it could be - It doesn't hurt to try.
- EX: Flashing the BIOS to Latest Version.
Post the Ram sizes / speeds .
- If it’s the RAM slot. You might need to buy a new motherboard like this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0886K651P/ref=dp_cr_wdg_tit_rfb Or just buy a used Alienware on EBAY or Facebook marketplace and take the storage out of this one and put it in this one. I got a GTX 1080 and a 7820HK off of Facebook for only $500 and it was the 17 R4

thank you for the advice i havent been able to fix it yet with your solutions, and the motherboard is way too expensive for me right now, its not that i dont have money, but i simply dont want to waste 1.4k when im about to get my desktop build for 1.9k with better specs. Thank you though

2 Red and 4 Blue mean RAM Failure. Which means that the RAM stick that went in the second slot near the battery is bad.
