Any ideas about Alienware m15 R7 supporting Kingston Fury Impact memory? I'm asking as some time ago I had an XPS laptop and Kingston ram didn't work with it. I guess something to do with timing settings in bios. Please let me know if you have installed it on m15 R7.
It's not Value RAM -- those parts begin with KVR. KCP memory is system-specific and tested.
At any rate, it you want a definitive answer, Kingston would have it. If you want the likely answer, unless your system does have adjustments for memory timing, latency, etc -- which would be a first for a Dell system (or for an Alienware system since Dell took over) -- the odds are overwhelmingly against high performance RAM such as that about which you've asked running correctly.
You are very likely to find it either flat out doesn't work, or as with many newer models, that it does but results in the RAM running at the slowest speed the system supports.
