x17 R1, RTX 3080, sold out?

So this is likely a daft question but all of the 3080 GPU versions of the new x17 R1 are “sold out”. Does that mean no more or is that just no more right now?

You'll have to ask, but chances are the backorder queue is full -- meaning they won't take any further orders until parts availability improves.

These GPUs are still in extremely short supply.

GPU's are in short supply. If 3070 is available, it's not a bad alternative. I'm very happy with my 3070. It probably runs a little cooler, and I can run everything on max or near max settings, although it's hard to tell difference between High, Max or Ultra settings while gaming. Guess it also depends on when you need it and how long you're willing to wait.

nVidia has publicly stated they expect short supplies through the majority of 2022.

My X17 was 5 weeks on the scheduled ETA in the beginning, but came 9 days early. Love Dell.

Create a Dell Account and order through there. It will be trackable from here.
You will be provided your own profile, which will allow you to track your order from: Order Received, Order Confirmed, Order-in-Production, Order Shipped....Order Received.

Once it leaves the production facility in Shushan, China....you can track it using the Purolator tracking number which Dell emails to you. But, yes, 3080's...I took the 3060.

I had ordered X17 R1 on August, now delayed another time, deliver in Dicember... Stop Dell and erase my order.

I would recommend to wait. You can always find a 3070 via Facebook or your microcenter but... unless 1300 on Facebook sounds good or 700 at microcenter even though its not 16gb VRAM as the Alienware ones are. Patience is key and once your receive your laptop, you'll be 100% satisfied.

Quick Tip: If your laptop has voltage / charging issues, try shutting it down, unplugging power from laptop, hold power button down for 30 seconds to do a full reset!

Thx for your suggestions. I know, but my order was delayed many times for many reasons. So I think that in December or January 2022 I can order X17 R2. I want a i9 3080 version, I'm waiting for it when available.

Oh an i9 and 3080? If they make an R2 (Most likely True) Then you're gonna be playing games at ultra settings! If you want to cancel your order call up alienwares phone number which is:
