Knowledge base solution emc67443 has the answer:

The following is a Primus(R) eServer solution:

    ID: emc67443
    Domain: EMC1
    Solution Class: 3.X Compatibility

    Goal
What version of CAVA should be installed at which NAS code versions?

    Fact Product: Celerra

Fact EMC SW: NAS Code 2.2.39.1 and above

Fact EMC SW Feature: Celerra Anti Virus Agent (CAVA)

    Fact
    EMC SW Feature: Virus Checker

    Change new install of CAVA

    Fix
NAS code versions 2.2 and 4.x should be installed with CAVA version 1.8.9
NAS code version 5.x should be installed with CAVA 2.2.4

Reference emc25302 "What are the system requirements for Celerra Virus Checker AV servers?"

Reference emc43573 "What 3rd Party Antivirus software packages are supported for Celerra Virus Checker?"

Reference emc51930 "How to find out what version of CAVA is running on a Windows NT or 2000 AV server?"

    Hi,

A more recent document to refer to would be the NAS support matrix, available on eLab navigator.

    https://elabnavigator.emc.com/emcpubs/elab/esm/pdf/EMC_NAS.pdf

On page 77 of the above guide (March 2007 version), would be the compatibility table of CAVA vs NAS code vs Antivirus software versions.

As to an explaination of what has happened to the original NAS Support Matrix:
