Windows 2012 server & CAVA
EMC Celerra Control Station Linux release 2.0 ( NAS 5.6.52 )
I installed windows 2012 server with CEE_Pack_x64_6_6_0
The CAVA service starts with a domain administrator account .
The Administrator account is in the local group of the NAS " viruscheckers "
The CAVA appear offline on EMC NAS .
I think the reason is:
server_viruschek uses ONC -RPC instead of MS -RPC .
I can not add a msrpcuser in the file viruschecker.conf
thank you for your help.

hello,
Listed Antivirus, the CAVA service works properly in windows 2012 server.
TCP and UDP Port 111 and 135 are open.
On the NAS, Is there a special procedure to force the " viruschecker " used MS-RPC ?
I tested the command below . no results.
When I add the line "msrpcuser=myuser.domain.com" in the file "viruschecker.conf", the change is not considered.
PS: sorry for my broken English . (Google Translate)
Reply My domain name has this format:
COMMUN.AD.MYDOMAIN.COM
I tried various combinations.
msrpcuser=commun.ad.mydomain.com.user
msrpcuser=commun\user
msrpcuser=commun.ad.mydomain.com\user
msrpcuser=user@commun.ad.mydomain.com
I still have that error.
[nasadmin@u50p12ct389 ~]$ server_setup server_2 -P viruschk -o start
server_2 :
Invalid MS-RPC User: 'commun.ad.mydomain.com.user'.
The NAS is in the domain. He's check the domain controler.
TOO.
When I force the RPCtype has the value 2. The server_viruschk Service does not start .

NAS 5.6.52 and Windows 2012 is a unusual combination.
NAS 5.6.52 was made available around 4 years ago in 2011. The highest windows server version at that time was 2008 R2.
