Accessing NaviSphere 6 with IE Tab

Hi:

In my workplace there's one lone unit of EMC CX4-120 that is still running some workload.  Recently with the discontinuation of IE announced by Microsoft, I was forced to use Edge.  With Edge I can't access to NaviSphere so I downloaded IE Tab to try out.

My testing and observation so far:

- Point to http://IP/start.html

- Allow IP in Java control panel

- Accept risk and run java

This is what I got.

Anyone has any insight for this issue?  Many thanks in advance.

    Hello bongsf,

Here are the links to a couple of kb’s that maybe of assistance.  They state that they are for the VNX system, but the steps are the same for Clariion systems.

I should also point out that currently I'm accessing Navisphere from a Windows XP desktop installed with IE, sitting in an isolated network with connection permitted to the CX4 only.  I don't understand what is required for the Java app to work.

I browsed through the forum and the following threads won't help

Solved: Cannot Access EMC Navisphere 6 Anymore - Page 3 - Dell Community

"Unable to access security information" after FLARE recovery - Dell Community

When I clicked on 'File' -> 'Login', I got the above message box as well.

Below are the java console output with actual IP removed:

    CacheEntry[file:/C:/Program%20Files%20(x86)/Java/jre1.8.0_291/lib/ext/sunjce_provider.jar]: updateAvailable=false,lastModified=Wed May 05 16:22:03 SGT 2021,length=286039
