AX4i iscsi Event Number 720e

Question

We have an AX4i and receive intermittant email messages with event number 720e

We have 2 x NICs directly run to SPA and SPB with no switch involved. We have Powerparth 5.5 installed and have 2008R2 installed on the server.

As such i don't believe it to be network congestion due to the connections being physically different network segments and different subnets.

These are the only errors we are receiving and since this is a product environment is leaving us more than a little concerned.

I suggest running an EMC Report and submit it to HEAT .. Maybe hba drivers, firmware or flarecode needs to be upgraded

Thanks for the suggestion. Can you advise on how I might do this (I am very new to the whole EMC world). I assume the Report you refer to is the Generate diagnostic files in the web interface or is this using the navisphere express application?

Amd secpmd;u who is HEAT? and how do I submit to HEAT?

You can download the latest EMCReports from http://powerlink.emc.com at Home > Support > Product and Diagnostic Tools > Grab Utilities, note the different versions for different versions of Microsoft Windows. Once the information has been collected, then submit it to HEAT via Home > Support > Product and Diagnostic Tools > Environment Analysis Tools > Host Environment Analysis Tool (HEAT),

Turns out I only have limited version of powerlink support, i'll be contacting emc tomorrow to try and get more access so i can do this and will let you know how i get on.

Thanks for the suggestsions so far I'm sure this is what I need to do however I am still waiting on EMC to upgrade my account so I can get to the powerlink site, as soon as I have this access and can submit the logs I'll post the response in here.

I have finally been able to run the tool and submit it however the HEAT has now been replaced by E-Lab advisor.  It identified a few things such as services that aren't running that should be but nothing that jumped out at me as critical.  I have now logged a case with support and will update the forum as soon as I hear more from the support team.
