Moving LUNS between Storage Groups
Hi Everyone,
Here is what we are trying to do.
We have 2 seperate ESX Clouds. We are trying to move data between the two. What we attempted was presenting a storage group belonging to CLOUD-A which allows it to be seen by their ESX Hosts. After the data is on the LUN, they delete the LUN from their DataStore and I remove the LUN from their storage group and add to our Storage Group. When I first did a RESCAN on our cloud I noticed the LUN that the entire 500 GB LUN was available indicating that thier was no data on it anymore.
What am I missing? Is it possible to share a LUN like this?
If that wont work for some reason, could I create another storage group and leave the LUN in that storage group and remove the hosts instead?

Disregard. The answer was simple. Simply move the LUN from one Storage Group to the other and then rescan from each of the clouds. It will be removed and added respectfully. By removing it from the datastore manually caused the data to be deleted.
