Adding drives to SCv3020

We have a SCv3020 and would like to add new drives in order to expand capacity. We have been told that the only option for adding drives is to match the current compellent drive firmware of DMF2C and they have to be compellent. Is this true? I realize there are size, speed and other generic specs that have to be meet.

    Hi,

More or less yes, if the drives had different firmware versions but were still validated drives it should still work, but the drives need to have Compellent firmware to be used even if they are the same model number.
