Wrong Service Tag

So, I purchased my Inspiron 15 Gaming 7000 series last year and finally had an issue I needed to call in on the warranty. I'd made my purchase through Dell directly from a sales representative over the phone and I still have the invoice, but the unit they shipped me apparently has a different service tag from my invoice. Mind you, it's still an Inspiron 15 Gaming 7000 series from Dell and it's the unit delivered as fulfillment of my order, but because of the service tag screw up nobody on the support side seems to have a clue how to handle it.

When I called they had me ship it in for repairs anyway. Then after 10 days I received an email obliviously asking why I had shipped this computer to them.

Has anyone else had to deal with a similar situation or have any advice for how to resolve this matter? Dell's create the problem themselves by either failing to ship the unit I bought or assigning the wrong service tag. Both a witness and the software history prove that this is the unit that arrived from the Dell shipment for my order.
