Our organisation is currently looking into using Entra ID for a number of apps. Does anyone know whether OME supports authentication using Entra ID? If so has anyone successfully implemented it?
I just wanted to see if this is possible before disappearing down an authentication rabbit hole :-)
We don't have Entra ID validated. You may try as some 3rd party ones can work.
We only validate keycloak and pingfederate currently.
If Entra ID can use basic OIDC implementation and allows you to define scopes etc then it should be fine. But we've had issues before with some 3rd party that send a lot of custom stuff in their handshake that we don't handle.
@DELL-Charles R Thank you, I'll give it a try and see if I can get it working but won't spend too long looking at it if I run into issues. Do you know if EntraID support is on the roadmap for OME in the future?
OME 4.1 update do not have EntraID support yet, it only supports PingFederate and Keycloak.
My suggestion if you need Entra ID support capability, I would advise to contact OME support group and raise a case for feature request. I previously tried to raise a case before for other feature advancement, but engineer would need customer's demand via case report.
