WWAN 5530 Authentication method and APN

Hi,

we need to connect to an APN via WWAN 5530; this APN will project the notebook directly inside of the company's Intranet with no additional VPN setup.

We are using Dell ControlPoint to setup a connection and but it fails to connect due to the uncorrect authentication method (I don't know if PAP or CHAP).

Do you know whether with ControlPoint it's possibile to change the authentication method to the APN?

If not, which software do you suggest to use?

Thanks

I'm not sure if ControlPoint is capable of modifying the authentication method, but you should be able to modify it with either a script or registry edit. You have another option in the Dell Mobile Broadband Manager instead of ControlPoint, but it has less features.

    Hi Byle,

thanks for replying, in fact Dell Wireless Manager allows for 4 different authentication method, will try to use that one.

It would be interesting to find which registry keys and which values for Control Point may address the issue :)

Thanks for now, will let you know if it works!
