AIX5.2.4 (4) Paths to storage mccdata to cisco move

Hello.
I have 4 paths via 4 hba's to mccdata and i plan on moving 2 of the paths to new storage by unplugging 2 of the paths. i have 5 hdiskpower disks in each of the vol. groups. I then plan on adding the the new disk from the new storage to the existing vol. grps. and then mirroring via aix lvm. R there any issues with just disconnecting 2 paths? plugging in the new fiber (2) to the new storage? what power commands do i need to execute to sync the enviroment up? thanks j

should be fine, before pulling the cables verify PowerPath can all 4 paths per device. Once cables have been disconnected run powermt config ..that will ask you to remove dead paths, say yes. Connect to new switch and follow your typical provisioning/mirroring process.
