I have a Inspiron 24-3455 all-in-one computer that I have been using off and on for a while. Today I updated windows and some drivers. When the computer restarted I got this message:
Alert! A 0 W AC power adapter has been detected, which is less than the recommended 65 W adapter originally shipped.
The system will adjust the performance to match the power available. Please connect a Dell 65 W AC adapter or greater fir the best system performance. It won’t let me continue startup from the message. There is a button to shut down the computer, or after several seconds it shuts down on it’s own.
I have tried to load the BIOS settings, but when it looks like it might go into it it jumps to that error screen instead.
The computer was running fine before the updates. Any help would be great.
I just removed the battery pack and powered up my notebook. Then I turned off the notebook replaced the battery pack and VOILA. The error message was gone.
Same issue here. purchased new Dell power adapter. Got a working again somehow. Now doing same thing. It’s not the adapter. Tried the hard reset by holding down the power for 15 seconds with all disconnected. Same issue. Check pins, look ok. Blew out power receptacle with aim in case debris was int it. Same problem.this is on a Dell all-in-one.

Hi all,
If you're facing this issue, please update your system BIOS to the latest version.
