Dell G15 docking station

I have WD19S docking station that connects my Latitude 5530 with 2 external monitors, keyboard, mouse, printer and internet via ethernet - this is my home office setup.

I would like to use the same setup for my personal laptop and would like to buy G15 5520 which has USB-C with Display Port but of course no power delivery to the laptop.

Shall it work if I supply power to G15 using the power adapter attached to G15 and connect G15 to WD19S just to have easy connection to all other devices (screens, keyboard, mouse, printer)?

I actually just bought the G15 5520 and currently use a Dell TB16 docking station to connect it to my entire desktop rig - 2 Predator 27in QHD monitors, K+M, speakers, headset, and webcam. I needed a USB hub to add more slots for my peripherals, but otherwise the setup works as long as you have the laptop's power adapter plugged in as well. You may get a warning during startup that indicates the USB-C slot isn't equipped for charging, but otherwise it works perfectly.

Sidenote: I'm still testing how different games behave. There are some oddities: Company of Heroes 1 barely breaks 25fps, while Company of Heroes 2 (a much more demanding game) can break 125fps without much issue. I'm thinking it has to do with the game engine's ability to use resources properly in this configuration.

Im looking to buy a G15. Did this dock work for you? If not, did you get one that does?

@MLKastrin how did you get your TB16 to work with your G15 5520? I can only get the power button on the dock to work with my laptop!
