Inspiron 7577 Adding another SSD

Hi everyone

I just got an Inspiron 7577 for my birthday. The laptop came with a 128GB SSD and a 1TB HDD. My question is, would it be possible to add another drive? I'm planning on getting a 256GB M.2 NVME SSD. But I'm not sure if the laptop supports 3 drives.

Thanks.

No- you'll need to replace the existing M.2 drive to upgrade;  there is only one M.2 slot.

Ah ok. Would I be able to recover my files and programs if I create a disc image of C: in Windows Backup before reinstalling windows?

It's easier to do this with something like Macrium Reflect -- but you can make an image using Windows as well if you so desire.

in the bios it says there is an empty m.2 ssd 0 slot? there is an internal ssd 128gb, a hdd 1tb already installed. this is shown as {none} in bios. same dell 7577 here.
