Isilon Snapshot destination.

Greetings all,

I was wondering the where all the snapshots would get saved once I scheduled snapshots for a particular directory.

for eg: /ifs/myworld/unixdata/world

I am aware that we can list complete list of snapshots by giving /ifs/.snapshot

However, where would the snapshots of this folder be saved ?

By default, snapshot data rests on the same node pool or tier as the original data.

With SmartPools you can configure a different pool or tier for snapshots,

but keep in mind that the snapshot data gets moved later by the SmartPools job, and not

already when a snapshot is taken or when a file is removed and retained in a snapshot.

Is there a way to check the location of the snapshot that was created. we have filepool policy defined to move them to NL tier but wanted to verify if its working as expected.
