I just purchased the refurbished Dell laptop (mode: Latitude E6410) for severs months. It can not start now. The screen is appearing:
Recovery Your PC/Device need to be repaired The boot configuration Date for your PC is missing or contains errors File:\Boot BCD Error code: 0xc000014cYou'll need to use recovery tools. If you don’t have any installation media (like a disc or USB device), contact your PC administrator or PC/Device manufacture.
Unfortunately, the warranty is only 90 days for the refurbished item and it had expired last month. I didn’t get any installation media when I purchased the laptop. What should I do in this matter?
I'd suggest you create a windows 10 installation media from the link below. You'll need a blank USB flash drive with at least 8GB of space and a good working computer to create media. Since windows 10 is already on the system, the windows 10 installation media should be free to reinstall or repair windows 10 on the computer that needs to be fix.
Please select BIOS setup in the Preboot menu (F12 key) or tap F2 key to get to the BIOS screen. Under the Boot tab, select "Boot list options", and change the option from "Legacy" to "UEFI, enable secure boot, save the changes (I believe to be F10 key) and exit setup. The system should restart, hopefully computer boot back into windows. If that doesn't work, Reset the BIOS to Default Values to see if that will make any difference.
