Dell Command | Update version on Latitude 7400
I have a Latitude 7400 and I'm perplexed by a support decision related to Dell Command | Update (DCU). For some reason, the list of supported systems for the v4.4.0 version of the utility does not include the Latitude 7400, but the Latitude 7300 (which is basically the same model with a 13-inch screen vs. the 7400's 14-inch screen) is supported. As such, my Latitude 7400 is stuck on DCU v4.3.0, whereas my other Dell computers run with DCU v4.4.0.
I can only assume this is a packaging error on the part of Dell. If that is the case, can I download and install DCU v4.4.0 on my Latitude 7400, or will this seeming lack of support for this model result in a failure of that version to run? If this is possible, which distribution of DCU v4.4.0 do I use? There's the normal application and a "universal" version and I don't really understand the difference. Presumably, I would want to use the same distribution that I currently have installed with DCU v4.3.0 on my Latitude 7400, but I'm not sure how to tell the difference (if that's even possible).
Thanks,
Mike
