I am PC tech and came across numerous Dell laptops who are freezing due to faulty Bios which conflict with chipset or display adapter or network card etc.... They are freezing intermittently and diagnostics won't find it.

Downgrading Bios to basic resolved the problem for all computers

My advise is, do not upgrade any program neither bios just because someone scares you with securities issue or no support any more etc.. Security holes have been and will be all the time. Install one or two good antivirus and backup regularly.
