Latitude E7240 Power Problems

Hello dear forum,

Ive had a lot of trouble with my laptop (model as in topic name) lately regarding power issues.

During Summer last year my Battery stopped working, and my laptop would frequently get very hot, ever since then I had to use the Laptop without Battery (which wasnt an issue but of course it always had to be plugged in)

Now a month ago that suddenly wasnt working anymore, my computer would run on around 12% of its CPU capacity, after researching a long time and checking the Bios I came to the conclusion that it does not receive enough power anymore.

Since the Bios Battery Information showed AC : Unknown, I figured a new AC adapter would do the trick, but after getting one it didnt change anything, so I finally bought a new battery again and with the battery inserted and the AC plugged in it would work like before again.

But the battery wouldnt really charge, (plugged in, not charging) and ever since the orange light is constantly blinking showing the critical battery status I cannot do anything about, and of course the computer shuts down as soon as i plug it off.

Two days ago it went back to being very slow just like before and Im in need of help, I just purchased the ac and battery and am pretty done by now

The Bios now says Battery Health : Communication Error and AC : Unknown, which gave me the idea that maybe the mainboard is actually the problem...is there any way to manually fix that?

I cleaned the laptop, changed BIOS Settings (Expresscharge options etc.) , bought these things and now its still not working properly or charing and I need it for work so im in desperate need of help

Power off the laptop. and Disconnect the AC adapter or power cord, and remove the battery. then Disconnect all external devices or peripherals like USB drives, printer cables, and media cards (SD/xD).and Press and hold the power button for 15-20 seconds to drain residual power.
