Samsung evo 970 M.2 NVMe problem

Hello,

I purchased recently a Samsung EVO M.2 NVMe SSD of 250 gb to install it in my Dell latitude 5580. After installing the SSD and downloading Samsung Magician I performed a test to see the read/write speed; the results were rather disappointing as the score was way below half of the expected values (3,500MB/s and 2,500MB/s respectively). Then, I switched RAID to AHCI mode, as well as I changed the boot sequence placing the SSD in the first place. The score was slightly higher but still was approximately half of what expected.

I understand that it may be difficult for you to answer individually in private messages but once I didn't find any answer in the community, I thought it would be the best to use your help about this issue.

My laptop specs are:

1) cpu: i5-6300U 2.7 Ghz

2) gpu: Intel graphics 620

3) RAM: 4 gb

5)  SSD: 250 gb

6) OS: Windows 10 pro

Thank you in advance
