Smartcard reader slot
Am I correct that smartcard slot readers are not included with every model by default? All the photos picture them with one, and there does not appears to be an option to "add it" anywhere in customization, but I also saw a description saying it does not come with it as pictured. I don't need this so making sure it does not. Thanks.
@HedgeFundManager Thanks...but smartcard reader is the big credit card sized slot seen in the photos, meant for companies and government employees with ID card security login.
You mean a camera card slot, I think.

I have a Gemalto smart card reader I use with Microsoft as such readers are expensive options. The card reader reads the larger cards like bank cards.
I have seem card readers in Lenovo but not in any Dell I have owned. I am sure however some models can be ordered with one available.

My machine is a Latitude 5440 and instead of a card reader there is a SIM card slot as my machine supports 5G cellular.
USB card reader are inexpensive. I have an older model that supports a range of memory cards.
