When will the 1080p screen be available?

I'm ready to buy an XPS 13 now that's been fitted with a 1080p screen. I have a few questions though.

When will the Developer Edition be available in 1080p?

I'd rather not pay extra for a copy of Windows 8 that I will never use. But if I decide to buy the updated Windows edition, will I have any issues if installing the Sputnik kernel and Dell packages on it?

I'd rather pay for 8GB of RAM than a new screen, personally.

Any chance those of us who purchased the original can pay to get the new screen from dell?

My DE came with the 8 gigs a month and a half ago. Not sure what it was shipping with before. Didnt really realize how limiting the screen was until I used it for a while.

I agree with this post fully. I would pay for the screen upgrade and void my warranty to install it myself. Or give aservice tech something to do and install it for me, Please take my money?

Thank you Barton! I would sing/tweet/fb praises for the product and start switching my developers to it at the office.  If only you and dell could find a way to help your early adopters resolvethis,  the only really significant issue I ran into while using this for my full time development last 2 months. I even do iOS development through a virtual box instance of Mountain Lion and an external monitor. But I cant do any of that mobile since it pretty much requires a 1080p resolution.

Side question? if my original 720p screen accidently breaks, under warranty or not. Would it be replaced by the 720p or the 1080 version version ;)?
