I just want to leave some feedback regarding my experience with Alienware computers. I bought my first Alienware laptop almost 5 years ago. I got the 17" model, but I quickly returned it when I found out it had a key pad on the side of the keyboard and it forced you to type with your hands off-set to the center of your body when it sits on your lap. I can't stand that. I hate it. It's a terrible design. So I quickly returned it in favor of the 15" model and I was instantly happier. Now it's time to replace my laptop and I went back to Alienware again. This time, much to my dismay, Dell has stopped offering their Alienware laptops in the 15" size. Now it's either 14" or 17". Problem is the 17" ones and bigger still have that absolutely terrible off-set keyboard to accommodate the number pad. (Let me be clear, I will *never* buy a laptop with an offset keyboard - ever.) So my choice was to buy a computer from some where else, or to buy the smaller Alienware. Let me just say that this Alienware is surprisingly under-whelming. 14" is just too small for a gaming laptop. Sure it's great for portability, but the screen is just too small. Furthermore, the smaller size is obviously limiting your ability to beef up the laptop. I regularly play a game called MarvelHeroes. I was hoping that I could turn the graphics setting up one more notch from medium to high (there still being one more level above high) with a laptop that's almost 5 years newer than my old one, but because of the anemic 2G of ram on the video card I can't. So basically, for my use, this new laptop isn't an upgrade - it's a down grade. I get something 5 years newer that can't out perform something 5 years old with a much smaller screen. Please either bring back the 15" model or offer a 17" model that doesn't have the off-set keyboard. I'm going to keep the 14" laptop that I just bought, but I'll admit that I'm woefully disappointed by it.
