Aurora-R4 ALX system clean up
Hello, I'm looking for a bit of help on how to clean up my system (Alienware Aurora R4 alx) I keep getting a message saying that my computer's performance is slow and that I should change colour scheme to windows 7 basic to improve performance, also for the last week or so every time I launch a game my system gets very loud like the fans are running at full speed before it had been very quite. I have been playing mostly on console for a long time and I'm a bit out of touch with PC. I cant remember, and have forgotten how to do simple things for maintenance on me PC. Is the system check up software by iolo technologies worth buying from dell website or am I better off doing a manual system clean up.

With the fans running a full speed, you might want to look at this article.

I would recommend you to do the Alienrespawn, that way we will make sure that is not a software issue.
I keep getting a message saying that my computer's performance is slow and that I should change colour scheme to windows 7 basic to improve performance,
I used to get that on my AMD card, but now I do it pro-activly before a gaming session. Here are my notes ...
And a general Win7 Direct-X tip ...
On the game's icon, Compatibility tab (if available) , make sure both are selected:
- Disable Visual Themes
- Disable Desktop Composition
Basically, this dedicates all the video card's resources to the Full Screen game (not reserving part to run the Windows fancy Aero Desktop).

Hello Stee-91281!
This article will show you how to improve the performance of the hard drive, on the step number 2 it will show you how to perform a clean boot, which will help you to hide programs that might be giving you pop outs.
Another way to clean up the software in your computer will be with an Alienrespawn you can find more information on this link.
On regards to the fans noise you can open the side cover and clean up fans with compress air, dust might be the reason why the fans are going very loud.
