3rd XPS 600 & Same Video Problem
I'm now on my 3rd XPS 600 in 2 weeks and this one has the same problems!
SOF2 is all in wireframe
BF2 all the shadows are huge boxes and the grass textures are messed up
Anyone having or heard of this problem? Tech support has been no help in that I'm now on the 3rd box and have the same exact problems. video card is a 6800
Yes I've tried different drivers: 2 different Dell Nvidia drivers and 3 different Nvidia drivers from their website and none work. We've even re-installed OS and even new machines, nothing is working! What is wrong with these XPS 600 systems?

You've got to be kidding me...you have dual 7800's and you can't max out! You've got problems too my friend. And I have tried many different settings with the same results.GuardianXPS

I agree, I play BF2 all the time and online the video resources are soaked up, even when not on high. What are the other games you play and have you seen this happen with them as well?Guardian- I'm running BF2 with everything on max and resolution 1280*960 at 100Hz.
The first moments when I join a game it a bit choppy but then everything runs pretty smooth.
Far Cry on the other hand has buggy graphics patches such as black large textures.. dunno what's wrong..
I run both of these games on my 8400 (with X300SE) with lower settings and everything was running fine.. GuardianXPS

If you havent already done this, go to futuremark and download 3DMark05. Find out where your computer is at. Both of my computers rated around 5000 to 6000 as a score, and the lag is off and on.Guardian- i fixed this problem. i changed 2 settings in the nvidia properties and i turned on hardware sound for BF 2. i am 90% it was the settings in the nvidia drivers though.
i changed:
"Negative LOD bias" from allow to clamp
and
"anisotropic sample optimization" from on to off.
