Go to SolutionCorrect Intel Processor installed?
I recently took delivery of new XPS 8900 desktop. I ordered Intel Core i6700 Processor (8M Cache, up to 4.0 GHz). However when I checked system information installed on desktop CPU is showing Intel Core i7-6700 CPU @ 3.40 GHz. Performance test indicated Max qualified speed 3.40 GHz and current speed 3.41 GHz. Has the correct processor been installed? Any assistance would be appreciated. thanks

Yes, that is the correct processor. the 6700 has base speed of 3.4Ghz, and Turbo to 4.0.
You can install HWiNFO64 and you see all the details of the processor, speed of each core and temp of each core while performance testing.
